Host Your Next Event at Redhead MTB Park

Host Your Event at Redhead Mountain Bike Park

We are thrilled to welcome races, gatherings, and special events to Redhead Mountain Bike Park! To ensure a safe and successful experience for your participants and our community, please review the event guidelines and safety protocols below.

Application & Site Requirements

  • Event applications must be submitted at least 14 business days prior to your event date.

  • A mandatory site plan is required for all events, which should include a site layout, route map, and indicate the specific trails the event will utilize.

  • A portion of Redhead Mountain Bike Park must remain open to the public at all times, so you cannot utilize all trails for a single event.

  • The Minnesota Discovery Center (MDC) provides a public shuttle service. If your event requires the park's main entrance to be closed to the public, the event organizer must cover the cost of this shuttle service.

  • The Event Application can be accessed by clicking the "Event Application" button located at the top of this page.

  • Please submit your completed Event Application, or direct any questions regarding the form, to cluke@ci.chisholm.mn.us.

Insurance & Fees

  • Organizers must provide a comprehensive general liability certificate of insurance prior to the event, naming the City of Chisholm as an additional insured.

  • This insurance policy must have a limit of $1,500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage.

  • Failure to submit the required certificate of insurance prior to the event will result in cancellation.

  • A $100 refundable damage and cleanup deposit is required for events.

  • The City offers rental equipment for events, including 95-gallon garbage cans for $8.00, 300-gallon garbage cans for $24.00, traffic cones for $2.00 each, and 8-foot barricades for $5.00 each.

Park Safety & Emergency Protocols

  • The park is officially closed during rain events, lightning or electrical storms, high winds, inclement weather posing a risk, and active mine blasts in the area.

  • For any serious trauma, missing rider, structural failure, or situation where a user cannot self-rescue, call 911 immediately.

  • Please note that calling 911 or having EMS assess an injury does not automatically result in a bill; no ambulance fee is charged unless the individual is physically transported to a hospital.

  • If you are organizing a large event, you must notify the City of Chisholm (in the Event Application) if your event requires an ambulance crew to ensure appropriate staffing.

  • To ensure the comfort and safety of all event organizers and participants, a complete copy of our Redhead Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is available by clicking the button below.
